The challenging eighteen week
training schedule for Law Enforcement students contains many hours of practical
application. Recruits in their agency uniform and armed with a blank
firing or simmunitions loaded weapons are tested in life-like, usually
actual event, scenarios just like the ones they will encounter on the street.
This practical application is made possible with veteran officer evaluators
and civilians just like you playing the role of a criminal, or a battered
housewife or an inebriated driver. Role players are given a general
scenario to act out, costumes to wear, hidden weapons if applicable and
anything else required to make the scenario as realistic as possible.
Recruit officers investigate the scenario and are graded on how well they
handle. If you are interested in assisting the next group of recruits
become effecient, well-rounded law enforcement officers by acting out your
favorite scenario, please call or e-mail our coordinator assistants, SaraAnn
<ssimpson@rrcja.org> or Patricia
<psmart@rrcja.org> or the law
enforcement basic coordinator Karen <kdeane@rrcja.org>
